Bahundanda is a village on the eastern side of Marsyandi River about 200 Km west of Kathmandu and 18Km north of Besisahar (District headquarters of Lamjung). It lies in the route of the popular Round-Annapurna trek. Previously it was known as Pustun and from the 1970s, it is popular as Bahundanda. It is the village where the GHIMIRE were originated. It lies on a saddle of 1310m altitude in between the georges of Marshyandi and Ngadi rivers.
